Therapeutic Riding of Tucson (TROT) hosts year's largest fundraiser
45th annual Hearts & Horses Gala benefits children and veterans
Lives are changed every day at Therapeutic Riding of Tucson (TROT). Whether it's the child who wouldn't even make eye contact with instructors at the beginning of the semester, who now laughs and hugs them; or veterans who can now share experiences with people and animals who understand, everyone has a positive experience.
TROT has helped children and adults in the Tucson community since 1974. But without the communities help, TROT wouldn't be as successful as it is today.
This weekend, TROT is holding the year's largest fundraiser: the annual Hearts & Horses gala. The money raised at the gala helps TROT continue to help clients year round.
There are silent and live auction items including one of a kind artwork, jewelry, and even a ride in a private plane.
"The money we will raise at this event will allow us to help so many people and ensure that we do not need to send people away who cannot afford our services," said Lesley Rich, TROT's Executive Director. "Without the support that we see year after year from the community, we wouldn't be as successful as we are today."

ABOUT TROT
TROT staff and volunteers use therapeutic riding strategies for children and adults with disabilities and special needs. These therapies help improve balance, coordination, motor skills, and even speaking skills. Each semester, the students and volunteers form special bonds and friendships with each other, and the TROT therapy horses. Volunteers will tell you that miracles happen every day!
