City of Black Hawk welcomes the planned and careful return of gaming to city’s casinos
Conscientious mask use, careful hand-washing, and social distancing will help guests, employees and residents keep Black Hawk safe and open to play
The City of Black Hawk welcomes the return of electronic gaming in casinos after a several-months-long state-mandated closure. The City’s casinos are reopening with extensive safety and hygiene requirements from the Gilpin County Health Department in an effort to keep everyone safe and prevent the spread of COVID-19, which includes mandated mask-wearing and social distancing.
Black Hawk requests the cooperation of all guests in complying with the safety guidance provided by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and the Gilpin County Health Department.
“We look forward to welcoming our guests back to Black Hawk. Our City hasn’t been the same without them,” said Black Hawk Mayor David D. Spellman. “The streets will be bustling again but we still need to be careful and considerate of one another as we navigate the rapidly changing governmental COVID-19 virus information. The safety of our citizens, employees, and guests will always take precedence.”
Black Hawk casinos are allowed to reopen Wednesday, June 17th at 8am.
