Diane Mulligan, APR | President
Diane Mulligan, APR is president of M&C Communications. She leads the M&C team in providing expert PR consulting services, including strategic communications, PR, branding, event planning, crisis communications and media training. M&C specialty is Insider Media Relations.
More than three decades of experience in PR and journalism have given Diane a solid understanding of how the media think, what they want and how to prepare company reps to effectively manage all types of coverage, from enhancing positive news to handling serious crises.
Diane started M&C in 2009 to represent inspirational people, organizations, products and services. She prides herself on developing PR plans with measurable objectives that impact the client’s bottom line. M&C’s clients represent a range of industries: real estate, agriculture, software development, oil and gas, the culinary arts and nonprofits.
Along with delivering high value results to clients, Diane is also dedicated to supporting and enhancing the PR profession. As Western District Representative for PRSA Colorado, Diane’s involvement with Public Relations Society of America constantly keeps M&C aligned with best practices in the field.
Insider Media Relations
King Soopers hired Diane to serve as company spokesperson during a contentious nine-month-long labor negotiation session in 2009, and in 2011 the state of Colorado hired Diane to help rebuild the Rocky Ford Cantaloupe brand following a deadly listeria outbreak mistakenly attributed to Rocky Ford.
Diane began her career in a small Arizona newsroom and a decade later was senior editor at NBC News in New York City. In 1999, Diane was News Director at the ABC affiliate station in Denver during the Columbine High School attacks. During nearly a decade as VP of Communications for the National Stroke Association, Diane developed innovative PR health strategies to educate the public about the signs and symptoms of stroke.
Sarah Beatty, APR | Vice President
Sarah Beatty has almost 20 years’ experience in the communications industry. She has produced news for television and radio, reality television, web video and all types of corporate communications. Sarah particularly enjoys helping clients unravel complicated communications challenges to deliver the right message in the right medium. She has a degree in technical communication and print journalism from Colorado State University.
